The department's literary magazine, Coffee Break, appeared in paper three times (1996, 1997, 1998) and since 2000 has been online.
Research Forum
The English Department has launched the Research Forum to provide a forum for discussion on scholarly matters by members of staff and to facilitate an academic dialogue between staff and students outside the classroom. In general, the Forum has been designed to strengthen the identity of our academic community. Primarily, it provides an opportunity for staff to come forward and talk about their latest research projects. Speakers are invited to present a 20 or 30-minute paper, which is followed by an equal length of discussion time to give enough scope to an exchange of ideas. A schedule of events for the fall semester will be available in September. Information about past and upcoming events is available here.
